How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

RGEF - Ruth Gosnell Educational Fund
Process
The late Ruth Gosnell, a former Baltimore County teacher and principal, wanted to provide loans to College and Graduate degree students. The Ruth Gosnell Education Fund, established in 1982 by the Springfield Presbyterian Church's Session, provides interest-free loans to full-time deserving college juniors, seniors, and graduate school students. Regardless of religion, all applicants will be given impartial consideration; and repayment of the interest-free loan does not start until 6 months after graduation.
Loan applications will be evaluated in the late winter on academic performance, financial need, and a short essay. The only limitation is that students have attained junior status in an accredited institution of Higher Education by Spring 2023. Loans will be available for the 2023 Fall term.
Interested students can receive an application form for a loan by calling Springfield Presbyterian Church at 410-795-6152. You can also download the RGEF Form A, "Ruth Gosnell Education Fund Loan Application" and the "Tips to Complete Applications" from the list below. Forms may be downloaded as Acrobat pdf files or as MS Word doc files.
Completed applications must be postmarked by March 1.
Applications can also be emailed to spc.office@verizon.net.
